Gastro Diplomacy Talks: Culinary Traditions of Eurasia and Flavours of Uzbekistan

A virtual cooking series to demonstrate flavors of Uzbekistan along with the culinary traditions of Eurasia organized by Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the EU and the Benelux Countries, The EU-Uzbekistan Friendship Group in the European Parliament in cooperation with the Re-Orient Initiative, Farm to Fork
Strategy and Mace Magazine.

During the event, the secret to making special dishes of Uzbekistan, including the king dish “Manti”, will be revealed by the italian Chef Giovanni Terraciano who worked in Uzbekistan. The Event will start with the introduction of H.E. Dilyor KHAKIMOV, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the EU, the Benelux Countries and MEP Ryszard Czarnecki, founding chair of the EU-Uzbekistan Friendship Group in the European Parliament.

After making some delicacies, speakers with a diverse background will talk about the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan along the Silk Road, position of Uzbekistan between Central and South Asia and Gastro Diplomacy as an important Softpower tool.
The Event is sponsored by Dutch-registered Stone City Energy (SCE). SCE recently signed a € 1 bn deal with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Energy for a gas turbine power plant. The project marks an essential step in helping the region sustainably meet domestic energy demand.
